It is very easy to tell that we are losing our planet to plastics. But plastics are so integrated into our daily lives in such a way that letting it go seem so impossible. From components in our smartphones to the bags we carry from the shopping malls.The only option we have is recycling. I believe effective recycling starts right in our homes. This is why I designed the GreenCube. It makes plastic recycling an everyday activity!
GreenCUBE has a very user-friendly design. With nicely rounded edges and as few parts as possible, it is easy to move arround and work with everywhere in the house.
GreenCUBE moulds everyday plastic waste into simple yet very useful things that improve our lives. For instance, just clean, dry and drop a plastic bottle into the GreenCUBE and few minute later you are welcomed with toothpaste pusher. The possibilities are endless.

LaserShredding works by passing a beam of laser with just adequate amount of energy required to cut through the plastic material. Using electromagnetism, a laser capsule allow the laser diode to point in five directions. This makes it possible to eliminate the cracking noise that normally is expcted to be heard when plastic is shredded. Doing away with the cracking noise makes GreenCUBE a remarkable household appliance. As a very important protective feature, the laser beam is instantaneously cut off when the plastic compartment is opened while shredding.

Shredded plastic enters the heating tube where it is melted.

A motor controlled extrution system then extrudes the molten plastic into the mould. The mould can also be replaced with an accessory to extude the moulten plastic into filament for a 3d printer.
